Environment Effects Statements (EES)

In Victoria, environment assessment of the potential environmental impacts or effects of a proposed development may be required under the Environment Effects Act 1978 and the Planning and Environment Act 1987. The identification of potential significant effects does not indicate that an EES will necessarily be required. Other factors, including the likelihood of such effects, will be taken into account in the Minister’s decision in response to a referral.

If you are planning to develop a private or public project and an ESS is required, then our professionals certainly can guide your EES process and prepare your statement in accordance with the Ministerial guidelines for assessment of environmental effects under the Environment Effects Act 1978.

Our risk-based approach facilitates the assessment of environmental assets that may be affected, potential threats arising from a project and the potential environmental consequences. As part of the guidelines, we ensure that possible mitigation measures are considered developing a suitable program for minimising, managing, and monitoring impacts. This, with the purpose to facilitate the decision-making process to statutory bodies before approval of your project.
